Mollie was a member of our work team, 6yo foundation bred (93%) , bred for the job, She came down from Oakridge Quarter Horses, after initially having some riening training, which she didnt naturally settle to, she has an extremely busy mind, and is very cowey, After a couple of weeks down time when she arrived we spent quite a bit of time together, mainly groundwork for the first few weeks to establish a good relationship, and then stock work, She decided that i was her best Buddy, and is very close, she was a brilliant mare, she is perfect for here, with her natural mind for stock and inquisitive nature, a perfect recipe for the foundations of a good working partner.
Mollie is very protective, and wont let any of the sheep or cattle come near me, not even my pet cow, this girl is not one to be messed with.
She settled into her new role very quickly, and hasnt put a foot wrong, she loves the cow work, and you can feel her pleasure when she is working, she almost quivers with excitment,
Moliie having done a bit here now, is definatly one of my favourites, and is a serous stock horse in the making,
